paper cut into a heart shape with the words should could would didHave you ever come upon a quote and thought, “This speaks to me.” Another person may have said something very similar on the same theme but didn’t grab you. I suspect this is why lists of quotes are perennially popular. I gathered ten quotes on conflict, innovation and mental strength because these are three themes I combine in my own work and life. They go together for me. Maybe one of these will speak to you in some way.

But first, let me share links to two articles I published on other sites this week. I didn’t expect them both to go up in the same week but sometimes life sends you gifts when you’re not looking.

If you read the articles you will see a relationship between the quotes I chose today and the topics in them. 🙂

The first article is on innovation and how leaders need to manage diverse, cross-functional teams. As those of you who’ve read my blog for a while know, innovation requires divergent thinking which requires conflict which requires good conflict management skills.

The second article is about how you can gain control over your emotions to make better decisions in your life and relationships.

I hope you’ll hop over and read at least one of them. If you like what you read, let the site owner know by leaving a comment or sharing with your social networks. They’ll appreciate it and so will I.

“A lot of people in our industry haven’t had very diverse experiences. So they don’t have enough dots to connect, and they end up with very linear solutions without a broad perspective on the problem. The broader one’s understanding of the human experience, the better design we will have.”
